Meet Dr. Light

Dual Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics
I feel truly blessed to have so many young people in my life. Knowing that I have played a role in shaping the smiles of my young patients is the very best part of my job. I believe that a healthy mouth and beautiful smile gives people confidence. I have also had the great joy of watching many of my patients grow from cute little toddlers to beautiful young adults. Dentistry for children has rapidly evolved over the last few years, making most dental procedures quick, painless, and easy for patients. I am fortunate that I can make dentistry and orthodontics fun!
I am pleased to welcome you and your family to our practice, and I look forward to working with you.

Staying on top of the newest and most technologically advanced treatments is key to providing my patients with the best possible care. Office Life
What an incredible group of individuals I am privileged to work with. My team is highly trained and has the latest certification in expanded functions in dentistry, orthodontics, and radiology. All are dedicated to excellence in patient care from our savvy business team to our gentle dental technicians and hygienists. They enjoy helping patients have a positive dental or orthodontic experience and want to make visits fun. My team enjoys speaking at the local elementary schools on the benefits of oral health and educating Pediatric Nurses and offices on early infant oral care and fluoride.
Outside the Office
I live in Chevy Chase with my husband, Jeff, our three children, Michael, Gregory, and Olivia, and three dogs, Oreo and Casey, and Snickerdoodle. Family life keeps me busy, but I like to make time to play the flute, sing with the church band, play tennis, and create culinary delights in the kitchen.
I am also involved with numerous community organizations such as the Women's Dental Society, Maryland Dental Society, American Association of Board Certified Orthodontists, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Autism Speaks, Smiles Change Lives, and the Potomac Chamber of Commerce. I enjoy sponsoring my young patients in Miss Teen Maryland and community sports leagues. Serving others and giving back to the community gives me a great sense of joy and satisfaction.
